So we don’t like to Slog to get to our goals, we want a magic wand to do it and we pretend to be great with little effort. But let me say you something: even magic has its cost.
This Slog below… which is an horrible alien monster in Oddworld. This can be frightful…
But slogging to get where just a few would ever arrive, that’s not something to avoid or to be afraid about.
There’s no need to be great to live well. On the contrary, normal life can be better than the life of those who want to fight and be better every day.
BUT… (there’s always a B SIDE) if you don’t understand at least what kind of level you want to live into, if you don’t understand there’s nothing bad in stay in the middle, people who want to scam you will have access to your inner core just by tapping into you Slog Fear. They’ll sell you the sky for a few dimes, but the only think you’ll receive is air.
So let’s be honest with ourselves, and get rid of our fears of working hard. Luck is an illusion. You either have to work out your life for yourself, or just accept it and be happy with what you got. At the end of the day, the happy will be happy, and the unhappy will be unhappy, whether you slogged or not. So if you want desperately to be afraid of something, be afraid of being unhappy for not understanding yourself, because when you do there’s no hard work, there’s only happiness and satisfaction.

Molto bello il testo, ma il mostro è proprio brutto! Mi fa sentire che molte persone vedano il lavoro duro come quel mostro. Però quando c’è un progetto interessante lavorare tanto non è così terribile… 🙂

Il mostro era di un gioco ma in effetti da un’idea grafica del timore della fatica eh eh diciamo che il web lo ha suggerito e io ho raccolto! Comunque sono d’accordo con te che con un progetto di vita o di lavoro sono ottimi obiettivi che rendono lo sforzo molto minore o anzi perfino una sfida piacevole!

Il pensiero magico, eredità infantile purtroppo spesso presente in età adulta, è la radice da cui si proietta questo investimento su strumenti magicisti che ottengano risultati miracolosi con sforzi insignificanti. Trovo particolarmente fine la considerazione su come il timore dello sforzo sia vulnerabilità che permette l’accesso alle risorse degli sprovveduti da parte di individui con scopi truffaldini. E’ vero tuttavia che un locus of control esageratamente interno sia altrettanto dannoso come chi considera che la fortuna sia un evento esterno fuori dal proprio controllo. Anche l’accettazione di variabili casuali oltre che causali ci permette un buon equilibrio nella costruzione di un’immagine realistica del mondo esteriore.

And if someone just want to stay in peace without searching for greatness it’s ok but being aware of this and in peace with oneself is necessary!
